1.You have to start learning about your religion and about Allah’s Names and Attributes.
2.Be a good son to your parents
3.Pray in the masjed 5 times per day
4.Have good friends(practicing muslims) surrounding you 24/7
5.Attend lectures of scholars
6.Give sadaqa
7. Refrain from all major and minor sins.

I hope this question can be answered by the Sheikh himself. I have the intention to repent from my old sins and have decided that I want to continue memorizing the Qur’an and getting closer to Allah. Can you give me some steps in worship and character that I can do to build myself up as a religious person after I repent? I don’t know where to start.

There was a flood in Chennai, a state in India, a few days ago. And people were in trouble. Many organizations started relief work. They helped villagers with food, shelter and many things. They rescued people from flooded areas. After the flood, two Muslim organizations cleaned the whole city; homes, masjids, etc. And they added a temple and an idol within that area. Is this allowed?

Can you kindly answer for myself and some family/friends if it permissable to gather on Christmas day to eat together. The purpose of the gathering is friends and family feel holidays are the only time to see each other and spend quality time together. I personally don’t take part in this.
