You must be respectful to them as they are your elders. Treat them with kindness and honor them. Having said that, they have no right over you and you are not obliged to obey them. You are only obliged to obey your husband.

I have this uneasy and awkward feeling towards my inlaws and sometimes i feel them stepping on their limitations. What are their rights and restrictions to me and my husband. What are my obligations to them as my inlaws. Please give me some advise for me to establish a good relationship with them.

I have problems living with my mother and father in law. We r not alike & they keep trying to dominate me to the point where my father in law doesn’t speak to me. Im forced to live with them bcz my husband cant afford a separate home. I dont like them from my heart but Im not rude to them. I keep getting angry inside & my husband cant do anything to stop them frm abusing my rights
