Keeping photos of the deceased is prohibited.

Talking to photos is not logical whether living or dead and can be an act of shirk if you think they can actually hear you!

I have read talking to photos is shirk if we talk to photos of the living or even dead without the believe they can hear it ? If We talk just to satisfy ourselves ?How is talking to photos shirk? Can it be not considered as vain talk ?
