In an Islamic country, this would count, as her mother would be awarded the custody of the child if the father is not fit.

I have a son.I wnt to raise my son according to islam.my husband doesnt.He wnts our son to try everything in his life.He even tried to convince me to indulge in Riba & that he will take the punishment for me.I’m divorcing because he isnt religious and i fear for my son.Hwever i’m scared,if i remarry that his dad will get the custody.Wouldn’t the father being not religious count?

When a man and a woman who are married divorce and they have a child, the man must pay for the child and is responsible for it , right? but what if the man wants to move to another country together with his child and the mother doesn’t want to give the child to him, is it permissible then to negotiate that the woman pays for everything alone and both agree so that the father doesn’t have to pay anything? (it was even the mother’s idea)

I have custody of my child and want to move back to my country. I don’t have any family here and living alone here is incredibly hard on me. My parents can only visit once a year. Would it be permissible to leave the country I’m living in now and thus moving away from the father of my child?
