You should be patient with your sister and keep reminding her in a nice way about Islam and its rules and do not let your anger prevail. However, every now and then, it is ok to express your anger in this fashion especially if it is to defend islam with someone who has arrogantly taken it upon her to ridicule and speak without knowledge about Islam. However, this shouldn’t be the norm!

I have a sister and she in some aspects says Islam is wrong; and my parents don’t do anything about it. Today a topic came up about islam and my sister started saying evil about it and I continuously tried to stop her but she arrogantly continued while I remained calm. Then suddenly I shouted at her pointing finger at her mouth and told her full of anger to shut up in front of whole family. I am always a calm person, and in this situation my anger goes up and then down so fast that I don’t get time to even seek Refuge in Allah from shaitan. Advise me, what should I do in this situation?
