ANSWER:

If you are doing this out of disrespect to the Quran, this sinful.

But if you do that due to forgetfulness or laziness, this is not sinful but inappropriate.

I have 3 Quran, and I only Read Quran on my phone, so I left them in the bookshelf , because I don’t Read them, I never touch them and they are dusty now, if I left it like that and not clean it, am I sinful? Or even I can get out of Islam by that?
