This ummah will benefit from  a good muslim doctor also. You can make da’wah to your patients, colleagues and so on. You don’t have to be a scholar to reach Allah’s pleasure. Be a good practicing muslim, who follow the Quran and the Sunnah and you will be fine with the grace of Allah. Try to divide your time between medicine and acquiring Islamic knowledge.

I am studying medicine now in university Alhamdulillah but I feel the medicine is taking me far away from Allah and also I don’t have a good knowledge in my deen. I put a lot of concentration in my studies and suddenly something came into my mind and I felt like leaving school to learn about my religion and instead of doing medicine I will go for Da’wah. Because that will bring me more closer to Allah and also I care about the future of my children because I have no good foundation in my deen at my young age but I want my children to have that good foundation . but I fear my father wont like this decision I want to take because he wants me to be a doctor in future but that will only benefit me in dunya and all I want in this dunya is for Allah to be pleased with me and to be successful in akhirah. so please I need your advice because I fear the state I will return to Allah.
