I am a revert and I was told Shirk is the greatest sin in Islam and Allah forgives all sins except Shirk. Also that whoever commits shirk will never enter Jannat. During jahiliyah I committed shirk does it mean the records of shirk are still in my book despite me embracing Islam?

ANSWER:
Allah forgives all sins, including shirk as long as the person sincerely repents to Allah while showing deep remorse. However, if a person dies without repenting from shirk, this is what Allah doesn’t forgive and that person is doomed in hell forever.
