…………. They said they will get us married off, but they won’t be happy about it. This has gone so far that my mum said she will get us married but then as soon as I leave my house, she is DEAD to me. I have emotionally being forced not to marry him. I want to get married to him to complete half of my deen for the sake of Allah. But if I refuse and my parents find me someone then I feel like I wont be sincere and I am getting married just to please them. but I either choose to save my emaan or obey my parents. I asked them for a reason for why I shouldn’t marry him and they don’t have one. My mum just don’t feel its right. The brother is of good character and righteous. I don’t want to go against my parents but I don’t want to commit sin and need to get married. My emaan is in a dangerous situation. Please give me some advise.

You should obey your father if he tells you not to marry him. But if he has no issues with him and he thinks he is good for you, you may go ahead with the marriage and try to make it easy on your mother.

I am a muslim sister who has been wanting to get married for a long time. I am 20 years old and fear that not marrying, i will fall into sin. There is this righteous brother who proposed to me, but my parents refused because he is of a different culture
