ANSWER:

In the standing position, they should be apart as the width of a person’s shoulders. As for sujood, one should bring them together. 

How far apart are legs suppose to be in salah or how close are they suppose to be during salah?

Shiekh in Sunan Abu dawood 1014 , it says that the prophet(PBUH) offered 2 rakahs of prayer, and when a person asked him “has the prayer been shortened?”, he offered 2 rakahs and made 2 prostrations at the end.
