ANSWER:

Yes, you must not highlight any verse in the Quran.

For doing hifz,i usually highlight some verses which i find difficult or confusing,and people said that you should not underline or highlight with pencils/ highlighters in the quran.

I understand that we should not recite Quran when on periods but what about reciting for example Surah Mulk every night and Surah Kahf every friday which we recite regularly. Should we leave this too? and please guide about the zikr we do every morning and evening it too has some Quranic Surahs and ayah al kuri which is actually from the Quran. Are we allowed to read these?
