If they do not follow any hindu rituals in this and if this practice is common in muslim community and this is done to make the skin glow then there’s no problem in this, providing its a segregated function and there’s no music or any other haram involved. 

Coming from India, we have a couple of rituals which im concerned about and our family is used to them for ages. We have haldi where to what have known is turmeric powder we put on the guys and It’s a fun event where the powder helps the skin to glow before marriage. But now I’m reading online Hindus do it to ward off evil. This has been done in our family 4 generations with no intention like that
