QUESTION: If a person commits a major sin and repents, thinking Allah will forgive him, but continues repenting until his heart feels at ease, only then believing Allah has forgiven him, this is not sinful nor kufr. Allah forgives immediately when one sincerely asks, but seeking forgiveness repeatedly for reassurance is permissible and encouraged?

ANSWER: This is not sinful or kufr but a true believer doesn’t feel safe until he puts his first foot in paradise. He has a balance between the hope in Allah’s forgiveness and the fear of His wrath.

QUESTION: Is it true that if you sin publicly you have to publicly announce that you repented for the repetnence to be accepted?

ANSWER: This depends on the nature of the sin. Someone who publishes ideas and sinful stuff should denounce it publicly

ANSWER: Sayyedul Istighfar is the best. One can also use the shorter version as the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam used to say it between 70 and 100 times or even more.

QUESTION: Is saying Allāhumma Innāka A’fuwwun Tuhibbul A’fwa Fa’fu A’nnī Deletes all major and minor sins? And saying Astaghfirullāhal A’dhīmalladhī Lā Ilāha Illā Huwal Hayyul Qayyūmu Wa Atūbu Ilayh Deletes all major and minor sins too even if you escaped from the battlefield?

ANSWER: These are for minor sins. Major sins require separate, specific repentance.

QUESTION: Shaikh due to ignorance if one recommended someone a haram show and now regrets it or he did know its haram still recommended it and now regrets recommending it and asked them to not watch it and not recommend other to watch that and ask allah for forgiveness will he still get the sin if they watch it even after stopping them?

ANSWER: This is in Allah’s hands! I hope that if he repented and was sincere in his repentance and he was remorseful that Allah would forgive him and not hold him accountable for other people’s sins.

QUESTION: Can a person make dua for forgiveness for himself and a deceased together like Allahumgfir li wa(name of the deceased) war hamna.. or should make dua for both individually??

ANSWER: You must repent for every sin you do. How difficult is it to repent?

QUESTION: What if we have repented from a sin (missed prayers) but we cannot forget about how bad it is and we regret it very much, and so we keep asking Allah for forgiveness do we eventually have to stop to ask for forgiveness for than sin since we stopped doing it or do we keep asking.

ANSWER: You must ask for forgiveness whenever you remember the sin till the day you die.

QUESTION: If your belongings got stolen and you curse that theif that you will not forgive him, so if he(that theif) ask Allah for forgiveness,will Allah forgive him?

ANSWER: This is in Allah’s hands. The thief must return the belongings to the rightful owner in order for his repentance to be valid

QUESTION: Sheikh once in a video u told us about seven major sins that doom a person to hell, so do they doom that person even after they repent sincerely and fill all the conditions of repentance? And what if they were ignorant, never knew that it was a sin?

ANSWER: Allah forgives all sins when a person repents sincerely before he dies, even if he committed shirk. If he doesn’t repent before he dies, then he is doomed.
