It is obligatory but not as strong as your cousins. You can call them every now and then and visit them.

Is it true that a person should memorise 40 hadith and 99 names of Allah? If yes then please tell me their benefits with proper reference.

This is not true regarding memorizing 40 hadeeth. As for memorizing and learning the meaning of Allah’s names, this is highly recommended.

I am working in a company and I am not given what I was promised. I work 7 days and I am not getting overtime. Brother can I take my right of my own as I have access to the company resources?

Some people refer to our Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi wa sallam) as the wali of the needy and the maula of orphans. Can the words Wali & Maula be used for anyone other than ALLAH swt? They say the word Maula comes for 16 different meanings and does not always refer to ALLAH SWT. Is this permissible?

I recently saw a video in which it is said eating candies and sweets and veggies and accepting gifts from non Muslims on their festivals is permitted. So can we also accept gift and eat their food (meat and other eatables) from an innovator on their festival? Like in India the grave worshippers do niyaaz of the dead.

You can’t eat their meat but can accept gifts without participating or congratulating on their feasts.

It is said that reciting Athan deters the shayateen away from you and your home. Can sisters softly recite Athaan for this purpose only?

Is it permissible for women to be outside after maghrib? I work in a Muslim school, and usually get home before it gets dark. However, during the winter it is impossible for me to be able to get home before it gets dark. Is this permissible?

I moved in to a new home and the oven is full of grease stains. I can remove them but this will take a lot of scrubbing. So I was wondering is it usable if I wipe over it with a grease remover even if the stains remain. Does burning such fats change them so I can cook my food in the oven?

You can use the oven however try to scrub as much as you can.

Is it obligatory for a girl to add her father’s surname to her own name? For example, can a girl’s name be Fatema Akter, even though ”Akter” is not her father’s surname?
