This is an innovation and it is not permissible. One should only do things that the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam has instructed.

A person told me a saying of the prophet (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) that he said when you see a sheikh eating maize in the street then do not pray salah behind him i.e its invalid. Is the saying authentic?

Some say that whenever we say the shahada, it is compulsory to raise the index finger, and also they say that when a non Muslim wants to embrace Islam, they must also raise the index finger while saying the shahada, is this true?

In Friday prayer, after fatiha, the imam said we will do a khatm for the deceased. I know khatm is Bidah but after friday prayer till asr the imam went on reciting surah from quran after every surah he made a dua. Is this bidah?
