Is celebrating death anniversary haram?like 40th day, 1st year etc., In my family some of them are doing this and if this is wrong in islam then what should I do? When they invite me to eat to their home then can I go to their home and eat ?

Yes doing all this is an innovation. Mourning for more than three days is not allowed.

Here some people says that once a person died, we should not talk bad about him cause for our bad comments he would get bad treatment. On the other hand if we talk only good about dat dead, he would get reward from Allah for that. Is that true? If yes, there are people who have two faces what will happen to those.

In our masjid when someone we know dies the imam will usually make du’a for them after fard prayers and we will respond to him. please is this in the sunnah.

Yes, you see him and all his entourage. If you do good deeds and stay away from haram, he would be a beautiful sight to see when approaching death.

when someone dies the relatives order food for 3 days and everyone eats from it, not just the family of the deceased. after that we don’t have any sort of bidah. no 40 days or 1 yr, etc. what is the ruling on everyone coming together & eating this food? can you plz elaborate this topic so it would be better for us to understand and explain.

These gatherings are not permissible, one must not join them as they are bid’ah.

Is it permissible to go to grave and just read subah fathiha and say salam to them…:??????

This is innovation, and it is prohibited for women to visit graveyards. You can make Duaa for them from your own home.

Is it authentic to recite Quran or do zikr for the dead people so that they get rewards.
