Assalaamu alaikum if someone is making up years of missed obligatory fasting does he or she also need to pay the compensation for each fast missed? Also if they have not made up fasts that have gone for years does the compensation be accumulative? Because the compensation may be very big and unaffordable for some people.

Wa alaikum salam, There is no expiation for missing days of Ramadan unless it was due to intercourse.

Assalamualykum my friend’s mother died a few months ago,she never fasted during her old age due to sickness sometimes or due to tiredness. Is there any Fidya or kafara to be done on behalf of the dead mother by the children. Kindly advise as my friend is very worried now for the missed fasting of her dead mother. Jazak Allahu khair

Wa alaikum salam, If she was hoping to get better and fast, there is nothing on her. But if she was chronically ill and doctors said she will not recover and couldn’t fast, they should feed one poor person for every day missed.

Asalamalaykum, my work involves doing manual labor outside in very hot weather conditions. I have to stay well hydrated or I could fall unconscious during work. How do I fast during ramadam and are there any concessions? Jazak Allah khair

Wa alaikum salaam, Yes must fast until you are about to fall, in this case you can break your fast or it becoming dangerous for you.

Wa alaikum salam, This is an innovation. We shouldn’t celebrate it. It wasn’t proven in the sunnah that this miraculous night was on the 27th of Rajab and hence it is not sunnah to fast it but a clear innovation.

Assalamu alaykum, I understand that the Prophet use to fast most in Sha’ban but i want to know if he (saw) use to fast the first two weeks of Sha’ban. Some people fast the first 2 weeks or it’s an innovation?

Wa alaikum assalaam No, it is not an innovation as there are some hadeeth a recommending the fast the first half of it but scholars say that this is if a person was going to be weak to Fast Ramadan. The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam used to fast most of Shaaban.

Once I asked about that sexual thoughs that a person have before sleeping (he is still awake) until he ejaculates. Sometimes he can evit them but hardly ever he ejaculates. This afects the voluntary fast or the obligatory fast?

Assalamu Aliakum, If he does this while fasting and it involves him doing an action or movement, this invalidates his fasting as it was predetermined and intentional. But if he only thinks and ejaculates without any movement from his part, this doesn’t affect his fasting in sha Allah.

As salaammualaikum. Bro, when we fast the every month of white days that’s 13th 14th n 15th due to some reason we missed the 13th so can keep fasting the rest of two 14th n 15th.is [2] [2] it permissible or not.

Assalam o alaikum!!!! Sir i have broken four fasts in last Ramadan, not on consecutive days but in the whole month. I could not pay the kaffara at that time. My question is how much is the kaffara and do i have to pay kaffara for all four fasts seperately or i can pay one kaffara as a whole? Ma assalama

Assalamu Alaikum wa rehmatAllah, Those broken by eating and drinking, you must make them up a day for a day. The day you broke with intercourse, you must fast two consecutive months as an expiation.

I have two more questions from your explanation 1- You said fast broken due drinking and eating must be made up a day for a day, means i can keep one day fast for one broken fast and that will pay my kaffara..thats it? 2- If im unable to keep fast for consecutive 60 days, is there any other alternative to it? As im a fighter pilot, i cant keep fast consecutively for 60 days… Jazakallah and regards sir
