Paying off your debts is more important than giving the poor

Can sadaqah be given to non Muslims? CAn it be give to Muslims that have different or deviant aqeedah, like visiting the grave of certain pious person is equivalent to hajj. Can I give sadaqah and zakah to such muslims?

Sadaqa is unlike Zakat. Zakat can only be given to Muslims. Sadaqa can be given to even animals.

Please can you tell me if it’s permissable to give sadaqah jaariyah on behalf of all the deceased muslims who have passed away and if so can it be for any amount of money?

This has no bases for it! You can do it on behalf of a specific deceased, but not on all of them.

Is it okay for me to give my interest money for a funeral to a poor Non Muslim family?

It is not permissible to contribute in the burial or funeral of non Muslims! Give the interest money to means of charity and to Muslims.

can i give nawafil zakah (on behalf of the deceased or shahid)to build a mosque or for any good deed?

There is nothing as nawafil zakat! There is voluntary sadaqa and there is mandatory zakat. Mandatory zakat can’t be given in building masjids.

Is it permissible for children to dress in pink to school to donate money for the breast cancer research? The school has organised a day to collect money to donate for cancer charity. And another question please, is it ok to give a gift to their teachers when it’s teachers day?

One must not wear pink as this is an imitation of the disbelievers. One can give them charity. Giving the teacher a gift is a kind of a bribe and can only be accepted when the child is leaving the school.

Sheikh, If any one (fraud or truly in need) ask money for “the Sake of Allah” is it become mandatory upon me to help him?

This does not make it mandatory upon you to give him unless you have access and you are sure he is needy.

When you’ve got mixed savings (from halal and haraam sources) and you give charity, does the haraam automatically go first or does an intention have to be made??

Allah doesn’t accept except what is halal and pure. If you give haram money in charity, Allah will not accept that. Therefore, you must cleanse your wealth by giving the haram money to charity with the intention of getting rid of it and not to get closer to Allah!

Can SADAQAH (Charity) be given to anyone? I mean in India, there are poor Muslims but majority of them are Bareillvies, who are involved in grave worship etc. So, can we give them SADAQAH because to find a POOR MUSLIM who is on a TRUE PATH is very difficult ?

Giving sadaqa to disbelievers is permissible. However, look harder and you will find needy muslims

Should we keep a record of all the Zakaat and the Sadaqah (KHAIRAAT) which we do daily or on yearly basis? Like should we keep the receipts received from the Zakaat collector?

Why would you want to keep it? Allah doesn’t forget a thing!
