Everytym b4 i eat i say allahuma bariklana fimarajaktana wakina adabala bismila & when im about to eat i say bismila den while chewing,in my mind i glorify da blessings by saying in my mind alhamdulila & mashaallah. i cant stop me saying that & i think only say alhamdulila when finish but really im not aware sometym. is it sinful to say that dhikr all the time esp.when not yet finish & say alhamd?

ANSWER: This duaa is not from the sunnah as it is not authentic. Simply say bismillah in the beginning and alhamdu lillah in the end.

In the US a phrase used by the younger generation is G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time). It was once used for experts in their fields (such as Michael Jordan being the G.O.A.T in basketbll). However, nowadays kids use this as general praise. For example, if you do something nice they will call you the “G.O.A.T” as a friendly praise. Is this permissible if no one is offended?

Can we say أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم when yawning? Or is there anything we do or say while yawning? When I’m in salat about to yawn I force not to. Is this the way? What to do in salat if I yawn?

ANSWER: There’s nothing prescribed to be said when you yawn.

Is it a sin or haram to return a salam which isnt the same or better or even less. Meaning if someone says Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, and i say Wa alaikumassalam am i sainful or not is this haram or permissible or makrook as i didnt return the same or better? Is it sinful haram makrook to give less. I saw this verse on ISLAMQA please help isaa’ 4:86].

ANSWER: No problem in this islamically. You should follow your culture, if its disrespectful to call him by his name then you should not do it.

Is it mandatory for a third person to reply salam? Will he be sinful if he didn’t respond?

ANSWER: The question is not clear. If someone says salam to a group of people, even if a single person replies, this is sufficient and others won’t be sinful if they didn’t.

Can I show respect to anyone senior than me by standing up? As it is a tradition in our country to show respect to our teacher in schools in this way.

ANSWER: It is against the sunnah to stand up for others but it is permissible if they feel offended or they don’t know the sunnah, so that you avoid the worst of the two evils.

ANSWER: Ignore them and move on as if they don’t exist! When a dog barks at you, would you fall on your hands and knees and bark back?

My father got angry at me due to a very small reason. I apologized with 3 times but he shouted at me instead and he’s not been talking to me since 5 months. I always ask forgiveness from Allah. ANSWER: Keep asking his forgiveness without nagging him and do things for him that would make him happy & be pleased with you and make a lot of dua to Allah to open his heart for you.
