My question to you Sheikh is… If one performs wudu and breaks wind, is it obligatory for him/her to wash the private area again before performing another wudu?

ANSWER: No, this is not required at all! You just renew your wudu, without washing the private part, if you have to pray.

My aunt who is 65 old does not do wudoo. She just does tayammum by rubbing on clean walls where I cannot see dust. When asked to do wudoo, she says she is fearful of catching sneezing allergy (which she sometimes has). My fear is that if this is not a valid reason then her prayers would be invalid. How to make her understand?

ANSWER: This is totally wrong , you must tell her that she must not make taiamum in case of availability of water, and if there is no harm on her, otherwise her prayers are not valid.

I want to ask about wudu. Someone said that if you listen to music then your wudu remain okay. I have a doubt if a person watches tv and listens the music then how his wudu remain? But they did not listen to me. Kindly enlighten me with the right knowledge.

ANSWER: The wudu is not broken if you listen to music or watch TV. These are sinful acts but do not affect wudhu. It is only broken by answering the call of nature, by passing wind, by sleeping, emission of Madhiy and eating camel’s meat.

After wudu some people look at the sky and show his finger to it and recite dua. is this way doing such and such sunnah? If no what to do just recite the dua without raising the finger and point to the sky?

ANSWER: The only book you cannot physically touch without wudu is the Quran.

Sheikh is wudu valid with bun? Or do we need to open it when rubbing wet hands through the hair?

ANSWER: The wudu is valid, you just need to wipe over your hair without rubbing the scalp or your hair.

I have small patches of vitiligo.I have to put ointment in night.So before taking wudu i have to remove the ointments by rubbing.My parents say don’t rub that portion it will spread vitiligo.I told if not rubbed water will not reach.But my parents angrily telling if you rub that portion your salah will not accept because you are disobeying.What I do?I am in a mental tension.How salah will be valid

ANSWER: If this ointment doesn’t form a layer(which is most likely possible) and it absorbs into the skin and it does not block the water from reaching the skin, you don’t need to rub and your wudu would be valid. However, it is advisable that your perform wudhu first and then apply it.

Is it mandatory to cover from belly button till knees while performing wudhu.

ANSWER: No, it is not necessary. You can make wudu while in nude as well.

If some one sees one satar(awrah) mistakenly and if both are in wudu whos wudu will become invalid?

ANSWER: Neither one of them.

Sheikh, today morning we had no water in our house and when I woke up for Fajar I realized that I had night fall and due to no water I couldn’t take gusul. Water came after 9 am and the I performed kaza. Is this OK or I am sinful for this. And what should I do next time if there is no water in our house as we have water issues In our area.

ANSWER: Yes, you are sinful! As a man, you should have searched for water from outside your home or went to the masjid to perform ghusul.
