It is not permissible to recite Quran on behalf of the deceased.

Can we recite Quran in behalf of a death person?

I am reading English translation of the Qur’an, but after I am done reading a few ayahs each day, I find that I forget what I read. Is this because I am so sinful and a bad person?Is there anything I can do to improve retention of what I read from the Qur’an?

As for the ayah in surah yusuf, which says La taknutu min Rauhillah, is this kufr? As the later part says , none does so except the people who do kufr.
