ANSWER:

No problem in having a headstone with deceased’s name for identifying the grave but it’s totally prohibited to inscribe or write ayahs of Quran on the stone or to decorate it or to make it like the christians have it. It should only be placed for identification. 

Can we place inscriptions of marble with details of the deceased and quran ayah in the graveyard? Is it prohibited in islam? Kindly explain
