The sunnah is to wait until the lunar year has passed over  your savings and then give zakat! Giving it every month once you receive the salary, is permissible providing you don’t have any other income!

Can someone use his monthly salary to pay zakat?

In our village people do so many biddah, l am planning to request a teacher who can teach quran with translation and explain the meaning. This teacher has to go by bus in our place. I want to know if I can give her my zakat money so she can teach the ladies and children and in the same time can support her family. The people who will come for study i want to spend my zakat money for their food so they will come to learn the truth about islam. This teacher has studied from Scholar Nighat Hashemi.
