It is true that fasting these days is one of the great deeds that a person offers for the pleasure of Allah.
If your parents order you not to fast because they need you strong to be able to do some work for them, you have to obey them. But if they are only telling you this because they simply don’t want you to fast and it is not affecting them, you shouldn’t obey them as there is no benefit in that to them.
Brother i would like to as you a question, i recently learnd about the ashra dhul hajj the fasting before the Eid for 10 days, and i even fasted once Alhamdulillah, but whn my parents found about this they told me not to fast during these days bt to fast on the day of arfat, they said that there are no fasts such as these and told me not to fast, so the fast is true? and if it is so should i listen to my parents because obeying them is obligatory, please help brothe jazakalah !!
