Wa alaikum salam,

All the sunnah prayers are not obligatory. Look anywhere for the five  pillars of Islam! The second pillar is only the 5 daily prayers and  not their sunnah as well.

Asalamwalikum, i am from Bangladesh, and growing up, we have been taught that we have to do all the sunnah rakat and prayer wont be valid if we dont do it. I have learned otherwise from ur show that it is a sin to think that and if u only do fard prayer it is valid. Please show me proof for that and explain it to me. I feel guilty when i skip sunnah and want to feel at ease if i do.
