This is an issue of dispute. I personally feel that it gives legitimacy to the occupier and one should not throw himself in harms way as nothing stops them from detaining any Muslim.

Asalaamu alaikum dear shaikh . My elderly uncle is asking : “what is the ruling on visiting al aqsa masjid even though it is under Jewish control ? Mubah, makruh, mustahab ?” He is just talking about visiting , in order to make salah and show solidarity with the Palestinian cause . Jzk.What should I advise him shaikh ?
