In regards to unlawful intercourse I learnt that 4 witnesses are required. What if 4 witnesses are available can the man accused confess ? Please pray that my past as non-muslim are forgiven.

Your past as a non muslim is totally erased the moment you had embraced Islam. Your record books are all wiped out because of your Islam.
As for the sin of Fornication, there has to be 4 male witnesses to testify against a person so that the prescribed punishment is implemented or the person himself confesses.
