A man and a woman divorce , they had a daughter and a son, now they daughter disagreed to stay with the dad, as the dad married another woman, she was at the age of 18 years and decide to stay with her grandmother the son stayed with the father and now returned to the grandmother since the dad can no long provide for them , the daughter got a marriage proposal and the grandmother ask her to inform her dad, when she went to see the dad he refused to see her and say that he will not give him his blessings, how can this family decide on this case, as who can give a go ahead for this marriage, their mother was married with another man after sometimes and that why the kids stay with grandmum , since the mother stays with her husband outside the country.

The only one who can give the go ahead is the father as he is the guardian, despite all the differences and disputes with him.

If the boy proposing is a good one yet the father still insists to refuse him and refuse anyone else, then the only alternative is to go to the Islamic judge and complain to him of the father’s stand and the judge would then call the father and discuss with him the grounds of his refusal.

If the judge was not convinced with the reasons of the father, he has the authority to give the brother the guardianship. He also can marry the girl with his authority to that boy.
