Is it correct that if a female wears a long abaya which is long enough touching the ground it is said “what comes later cleanses it”?

I am planning to continue my studies but there is a problem that they don’t allow niqaab in class as in there are boys in class and teacher says no to face covering & even if I go to girls college they say us to remove our whole abaya near the gates of college and there are workers who are male and even teachers are male. So my sisters says that go to college and if they tell you to remove your niqaab then do it coz it is not fard? What should I do ?

I wanted to know if it is allowed to participate in the pre wedding henna/mehndi parties common in the indian subcontinent. I have heard the hadith where our prophet says he who imitates a people is of them. I am of the understanding that this celebration is from the hindu culture. If the event was within our sharia guidelines (no free mixing or music) would it still be impermissable due to the background of the ceremony? Is there any basis in islam for celebrating it?
