If this covers her well without exposing her body curves and it is not eye catching by itself or its colors and it doesn’t go against the customs of Muslims in that country,this is permissible. However, wearing an outer jilbab is better.

If i wear proper dress full covered with shalwar kameez thick and loose with colour or bold DESIGN DRESS and hijab also…. if i discard jilbab or outer garment so it is sinful or major sin in islamn? let me know…

My family and I are planning to apply for a US visa, and the U.S. Embassy requires women who wear hijab to have their pictures taken with the head scarf showing the hairline. I really feel uncomfortable showing even the tiniest part of my aura but I thought this requirement is similar to photos in national IDs, passport and other legal documents.
