It is an issue of dispute among scholars. There isn’t a clear cut evidence where it should be put. Therefore, both opinions are correct. I personally choose to put it on the chest as this evidence is stronger in my opinion.

I want to know what is the most correct view regarding keeping the hands by the side after rukoo, or on the chest? And what did the prophet (peace be upon him) do after rukoo, did He keep his hands by the side or on His chest?
