The finger should be pointing from the time of sitting down until you conclude the prayer or stand up to the 3rd rak’ah.

In the last part of prayer(before salam), how should one raise his finger or at wat time is it appropriate for him to do so and should he put it down after shahada and is doing it obligatory ?
