Property that you own and it is not displayed for sale have no zakat on them.

The zakat is on the rent if one year passes from the contract date and you have it with you.

I have a property (land) worth $100,000/- which is vacant and I don’t earn anything from this land should I have to pay zakat for this land if yes how much? I have one more property (house) worth $200,000/- from which I get rent of about $700 per month.should I have to pay zakat for this house if yes how much?
