Any savings an individual has that exceeds the value of 595 grams of silver and a whole year passes on it, one is obliged to pay 2.5% zakat on it even if he is unemployed

I no longer work and my husband does not earn enough to look after me and my son . So I am using my savings to live on until I find a job . Do I have to pay the 2.5% zakat on the savings I am using to live on??

If you pay your zakaat and the person to whom you gave the zakaat, asked if he can leave the zakaat at your house and take it later and the person didn’t come for it after a long time, may be even after two or three months, is your zakaat accepted?
