You should give the zakat on time and shouldn’t delay giving it on time. If you delayed giving it, it is a debt that you must pay in accordance to the price it was due in.

Suppose if we have 15 tola of gold and the rate of gold at the end of year is 2000 riyals . to some reason If we couldn’t pay zakat at the time it is to be payed and if we want to pay later then do we have to follow the same cost of gold or we should follow the present one?

Can you please tell me if paying zakaat on a monthly basis is okay. For instance as soon as one gets their salary at the end of the month they take out the 2.5 percent and give it to zakaat instead of waiting a year ?
