As long as this is the rules of the country and you would be prosecuted if you don’t pay, you can pay it.

I pay income tax to govt as i am a govt employee but i do not know whether it is beaing used on halal or haram things.wht is the ruling of Quran and sunnah in this regard

I am living in the United States. All of the banks I have access to are based on riba (interest) and are haram. Does keeping my money in this bank make my money haram?
