When the time for Isha’i is reached, the adhan called for prayer and we went it to say our salat. But just before we start, the adhan told us to sit down and say some du’a (invocations against some theives that usually cross our walls and steal our Rams and Goats) which I have never seen in my life before.

Is this action supported by Ahl-Sunnah wal jamma’a? Is it haram or halal?
………………………………………………………….

This is not part of the Sunnah to make such du’ah after the Athan and it is an innovation.

Each one can make du’ah on their own without collaborating and surely not by specifying a particular time.

And Allah knows best

One day we finished our maghrib prayer in our mosque located within our quarters, then all of us went out of the mosque and started discussing on matters relating to Islam.
