It is very clear.

Any man wearing trousers or garment that exceed the ankles, that portion of his body will be burnt in hell.

I came across this Hadith about keeping the ankles revealed (for men), and I will really be thankful if you can explain in detail why is it necessary to do so.”If one’s garment covers below his ankle, that part of the ankle will be in Hell.” Bukhari
