The hadeeth is authentic and the scholars who said that it is permissible to touch it while a person is not in his wudhu, they said this because the word Tahir can mean a Muslim, someone who is no in the state of sexual impurity or someone who is not in the state of wudhu.

Therefore, they said that it can be either one and they thought that it is most likely to be the first possibility.

The Prophet (saws) told the people of Yemen: “No one should touch the Qur’aan except one who is taahir (pure).” is this hadith auhtentic,if so why do some shcolars have the opinion that we can touch the quran with out
