My community has a common belief that you can’t use a private toilet in a room without covering your hair and having shoes on cause you might be possessed by a jinn! Is this true?

In pakistan on 27 rajab(time when prophet (SAW) went on mehraj) people fast I know it’s biddah. But if we do dua or do specific worship like read Quran, perform nawafil according to this specific day is it allowed? And people do dua on things like sweets, rice and send it to different houses And eat is it also allowed?
