I would like enlightenment on the part that Allah says in the Qur’an that He guides whomever He wills. What gives some hidayah and others not? Is it predestined like birth, wage, death, etc? How does it fall into the concept of “free will”?

ANSWER:

It is predestined and no one knows what is predestined for him. You are ordered to obey and follow Allah’s commands. If you succeed in doing that, this means it was predestined for you and you will go to paradise as a reward for your obedience which had chosen.

If you fail, you will go to hell because this was your choice, though it was predestined.

We were arguing with someone and he said ,if Allah has planned everything ,and where everyone will go ,to jannah or jahannam why is it my fault, why didn’t Allah made me among the muslims and grant me paradise .

How does one know that whatever an individual is going through is a test from Allah and not a punishment?
