ANSWER:

It seems that both are good.

Reciting the Quran while understanding its meaning (quality) is like giving a big valuable jewel in charity.

Reciting it without understanding the meaning but covering a lot of it (quantity) is like giving a lot of small coins in charity. 

I have a question about reading Quran in Ramadan: what should the priority be? 1( reading Quran with translation and thus maybe not finishing the recitation during the month or 2) finishing reading entire Quran although maybe not having time to read translations/ not finishing reading the translations ?
