Get rid of it.

I have a silver evil eye necklace that my dad gave to me. It’s a cheap necklace but I wish to keep it because it’s a gift from my dad and because it’s actual silver. Can I keep it without wearing it or must I throw it away?

My question is as the shirk is the biggest sin and which cannot be forgiven unless sinner make touba himself. Can we classify shirk as Shirk (Major) & Shirk (Minor) though the intensity for the sin still much high. I heard people often classify that but as per my understanding it cant be major or minor it is only Major. Please guide me as per the verdict of Quran o Sunna.
