Saying that scholars of Saudi Arabia shouldn’t be asked about fatwas pertaining to Europe and USA is preposterous and wrong!

I’ve seen a video in which Dr Yasir Qadhi said it isnt Halal to call oneself Salafi that it is a movement like the terrorists group & it’s not OK to seek fatawa from Saudi Scholars because they dont know the Western life, is this true & permissible to take knowledge from someone who says this?
