Do I have to say salam and then make one more rakah or without making salam I have to stand up to make witr salah in congregation even ,when the imam has completed his witr salah because I want to pray witr salah at the one-third of the night in ramadhan ?

I seen people offer Witar Salah with 1 Rakat some other perform 3 Rakats and ( i too perform 3 witr rakats) and perform immeidately after Isha Fard Salah then 2 Rakats Sunnah and 3 Rakats Wajib ul Witr Salah So please tell me what is the correct time to offer Witar Salah

People in India say that nowadays, there is no need to combine 2 prayers together when v r on a journey because nowadays all the facilities are avlbl like water, electricity. In the time of the Prophet SAW, facilities were not there so he used to combine 2 prayers together. But, now v shud pray all the prayers separately on there appointed times during journey. Plz advs.
