If the money you had in the past, was “zakatable”, you must pay for the past years too.

we have some cash in our account for which we did not pay zakah it just went out of our mind Alhamdulillah rest zakah we use to pay correctly.but my question is should we have to pay from now or from past years.

Recently , I read your post about deobandies Sec , we give our Zakhat to one of Madras , darulaloom in Remote area in kashmir, all children thre are orphans . So our Zakakhat amount goes to their food supplies. I got confused now,as you mentioned that they are also source of innovation in Islamic Should I continue to give them Zakhat.

This question is from my sister ,she was giving zakaat in ramadaan, some people money and to some people clothes and a big bag of grocery items like rice lentils wheat oil .so my question is it right way of giving zakat or not? if not then how we should give zakaat only in money ? Please answer my question .
