Wa alaikum salam,

There is no expiation for missing days of Ramadan unless it was due to intercourse.

Assalaamu alaikum if someone is making up years of missed obligatory fasting does he or she also need to pay the compensation for each fast missed? Also if they have not made up fasts that have gone for years does the compensation be accumulative? Because the compensation may be very big and unaffordable for some people.

Assalamualykum my friend’s mother died a few months ago,she never fasted during her old age due to sickness sometimes or due to tiredness. I would leave for Sharjah (UAE) on 21st June from Jazan (KSA) @ 4PM. I wud b fasting. Q is: where to break the fast? Jazan Maghrib time wud b @ 6:55PM & Sharjah Maghrib wud b 7:20PM. But @ around 7 PM, I wud b in da flight. So shud I break my fast according 1.to Jazan time 2. or Sharjah time 3.or after reaching Sharjah 4. or in the flight?
