Sheikh Assim,we have a new revert sister ,she convert to islam one month a go.She is marry with a christian man and they have 2 children.Now she is muslima and she gave her husband a while to accept Islam but they live together..Its this permisible?

It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to remain with her non Muslim husband. She must leave him immediately and not have any intimate relationship or any kind of relationship with him.

If she doesn’t remarry and after a while he reverts to Islam, they can go back to each other without a contract providing she didn’t remarry and the choice is hers.

This sister must be separated from this man until he becomes Muslim. She has the choice to remarry another Muslim if she wishes after she gets her monthly period.

Is that waleema (waleema – sunnah feast after marriage) shall be given only after physical relation between bride and groom or esle it cant be given?

I know that Islam allows a Muslim man to marry from ahlu kitaab (Jews and Christians). But does it still count when they are practicing kufr and shirk?Who are the Jews and Christians whom you are allowed to marry?
