We have to receive gratuity of my late dads service and this matter goes to the court for decision.A part of his income goes to his relatives as per shariah.My mom doesnt want that & wants the full gratuity and other income & for this she said she needs to lie.In court i also will be called and might have to witness her statements,is this allowed although i don’t support her actions?

What she plans on doing is totally prohibited! She must fear the punishment of Allah, not only for going against the laws ordained by Islam and for lying.

You must not participate in her plan and stop her from doing this, as you will be sinful as well. Such a false testimony is one of the most major sins in Islam.

please could you advise if a widowed mother of 4 children passes away and she only owns a house, how does she split the value of this property ie shares?. She has two girls and 2 boys. One of the boys is married and has a family of his own.

Do grandchildren inherit from grandparents if their parents are no more.
