This is correct. One should not say this. A lot of the Muslims say this when they make Dua’a as they say: may Allah forgive you in sha’ Allah or May Allah reward you in sha’ Allah. This is inappropriate as no one can force Allah. The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam had instructed us to be firm in our Dua’a.
